Coronavirus Update

Dear Customer,

Coronavirus COVID-19 Update – 05.06.2020

LAVER ONLINE IS NOW OPEN!

From 24 July 2020 when entering our public shop areas, all customers must, by law, wear appropriate face-covering. Thank you for your support.

Due to COVID-19, Laver Online at this time can not process web orders as normal. Currently we are only accepting online a minimum order value of £30 (ex VAT)

We can offer free delivery on orders over £400.

Our Branches are operational and trading, but we’re not quite back to normal! Our ‘new’ normal means that we are open for pre-agreed collections only, as well as deliveries, where possible. Obviously we are working to the appropriate guidelines: keeping a safe-distance; practicing good hygiene; employing contact-free trading.

Please be aware that we will adhere strictly to Government guidelines whilst operating our Branches or making any deliveries to site.

Thank you for your continued help and understanding during these difficult times.

Regards

Previous Update – 30.03.2020

As you will all know, COVID-19 has been declared a pandemic which means that Arnold Laver, as a responsible business, must take the necessary precautions to protect our employees and any other stakeholder that we come into contact with, as part of our normal business activities.

The Health & Safety of all our employees is our Number One priority and thereforeas a result of the latest Government Announcements, our sites will remain closed for collections. Please do not visit any of our sites in-person.

We will, however, be offering a limited delivery service to customers, where possible, if it is both practical and safe to do so.

We will be prioritising those customers that are engaged with important and critical operations that help support the communities where we are based. This means that we will only be delivering materials essential to infrastructure, services and essential repairs, maintenance and security.

Following recent Government guidance, the types of areas we will support include:

  • Hospitals, doctors’ surgeries and care / nursing homes
  • Schools
  • Emergency services facilities e.g. fire stations
  • Military facilities
  • Prisons
  • Central and local government offices – open for essential services
  • Specific retail premises e.g. supermarkets and pharmacies
  • Food banks and homeless services
  • Social Housing
  • Cemeteries, churches and crematoriums
  • Utilities
  • Transport infrastructure
  • Emergency repairs where, property and premises must be made safe, or are required to be boarded-up.

If your needs fall into any of these categories, then please contact your local Branch by phone or email. For further help or information, you can also visit our website or email us on covid19@laver.co.uk

Our Sales personnel are working remotely and are available if you have any specific enquiries or questions. Please contact your Branch or local Representative by phone or email, as normal.

Please be aware that we will adhere strictly to Government guidelines whilst operating our Branches or making any deliveries to site.

Thank you for your continued help and understanding during these difficult times.

Previous Update 25.03.2020

As you will all know, COVID-19 has been declared a pandemic which means that Arnold Laver, as a responsible business, must take the necessary precautions to protect our employees and any other stakeholder that we come into contact with, as part of our normal business activities.

The PM’s briefing to the Nation on Monday made it clear that from 12:00AM midnight, People must stay at home except for shopping for necessities, daily exercise, any medical need and travelling to and from essential work. Shops selling non-essential goods are being told to shut and gatherings in public of more than two people who do not live together are to be prohibited.

The Health & Safety of all our employees is our Number One priority and therefore, as a result of the latest Government Announcements, The NTG Board has decided that our business will significantly change with immediate effect, to help contain the spread of COVID-19.

We intend to close all our sites for collections and offer a limited delivery service to customers. Through this ‘Phone and Deliver’ model we will be prioritising those customers that are engaged with important and critical operations that help support the communities where we are based.

Our Branches, Trade Counters and production sites are now closed to all collections. Please do not visit any of our sites in-person.

Some of our Branches will operate a limited delivery service for customers, where stock of materials allows. Please contact your local Branch by phone and email for further details – or visit our website for more information

Whilst we do not presently have any issue with the supply of materials, we will keep you advised if there are issues around product availability

Our Sales personnel are available if you have any enquiries or questions, please contact your local Branch or Sales Representative as normal

We will be flexible in our approach and always aim to keep you advised as the situation changes or develops

We will do our upmost to help and support our customers through this unprecedented and difficult time

We will always adhere to Government guidelines whilst operating our Branches and making any deliveries to customers

If you have any questions at all please speak to your Branch, your local Representative, or email us on covid19@laver.co.uk

Your business and support is incredibly important to us and we will work with you to help you during these challenging times.

Best Wishes
