Thursday 11th May saw representatives from Arnold Laver and leading industry experts present a Fire Door Safety day to over 50 attendees at Durham County Cricket Club.
This event has taken place at numerous locations around the country but this is the first time it has been in the North East.
Durham County Cricket Club was the venue of choice and what a perfect place it was. In between speakers and during the interval our guests were able to step out on to the cricket stand with refreshments in hand while watching the cricket team in training.
Once again the feedback surrounding the day was extremely positive. Those delivering the talks provided all in attendance with an abundance of relevant information surrounding Fire Door Safety.
Joinery Director David Oldfield says; “Working alongside some of the leading industry experts, we have brought them together so attendees can ask questions and understand more about their products. Also present are our other suppliers, from MDF Mouldings, Access Panels, Intumescent, and Ironmongery & Glazing who were all available during the plentiful breaks, and over lunch time.
The CPD event was designed for anyone who has influence over fire doors, whether new build, or refurbishment of older buildings, and we welcomed all sectors from House builders, Construction, Schools and Colleges, The Fire Service, Nursing Homes etc.”
Previous feedback has included:
‘Very informative and great refresher on important fire related safety issues.’ Steve Hilditch, building control.
‘Information received from both speakers and hand-outs was comprehensive and useful. Very well organised and free!’ Guy Carrasco, carpenter/joiner.
‘Useful information imparted by industry experts, very informative and of practical use.’ Steve Elliot, building control surveyor.
