We recently donated bulk bags to a local Scout Explorer group in Sheffield so that they could make hammocks for a camping and team building exercise.
The Scouts worked together to make the hammocks from the bulk bags and lash them to the trees.
As you can see from the pictures, they made a good job of it!
The bulk bags are made out of a thermoplastic polypropylene geotextile with a high tensile strength, which means that the bags are tough but easy to work with for this sort of application.
The Scouts are working towards their Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award and Queens Scout Award, and we’re sure that they’ve got them “in the bag”!
